It is difficult to characterize American cuisine as isolated and independently formed, as it is a colorful combination of features of English, African, Spanish, Italian, French, Chinese and other cultures. Thanks to Native Americans (Indians), corn is considered the main ingredient in the cuisine.
The fact that in America they eat only fast food, in particular, burgers and hot dogs, is just a stereotype. Americans love English roast beef, steak and sandwich, German steak, Italian pizza and pasta, Chinese noodles, and so on.
Semi-finished products are also popular in America. Salads made from tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, avocados, lettuce, shallots and other vegetables are added to purchased semi-finished products as a side dish. Rice can also be a side dish.
Americans consume quite a lot of spices: pepper, cinnamon, ginger, cumin, garlic and others.
Meat is often roasted over an open fire (barbecue or grill), especially Americans like to do it on weekends or on holidays with family and friends.
For dessert, pies (apple, pumpkin, pecan), brownies, cookies, muffins, donuts, cheesecakes and other sweets are prepared.
Do not forget that American cuisine is a general concept consisting of the cuisines of the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and other countries, which, by and large, are not at all similar to each other.
